You can see what the business is like and pay your dues doing the grunt work and watching how things are done. This type of mentor, or apprenticeship, is a great way to get your foot in the door of the industry.

Some people think that becoming a real estate agent is as easy as just deciding to sell houses and that anyone can do it, but there is a lot of complexities behind the scenes that you need to understand first.
