Trade show booth ideas

Are you the owner of a company that spends a substantial amount of time and money at trade shows each year? If so, you probably know the importance of having a stellar booth that both catches the eye of your audience while still getting your message across. Sometimes striking that balance can be difficult, especially if you don’t have a huge marketing team. The good news is that you can have custom exhibits built for you by experts who know how to make sure you get noticed. Here’s a few things that those exhibit design companies will tell you:

1. Create A Tagline – Your company probably already has a snazzy logo, but when as you prepare to go to a trade show you will need a tagline. If you work with exhibit fabrication company they will likely encourage you to try to create a tagline using six words or less that a reader can understand within just a few seconds. The main reason for this, of course, is because at large trade shows the attendees are constantly on the move. Your tagline needs to be able to draw them in. Keep the tagline you choose honest and not too abstract. Try to clearly state what your brand or product is about so that when potential vendors or clients read your tagline they get a good sense of who you are.

2. Choose Your Colors Wisely – When working with an exhibit fabrication (construction) company one of the first items you will choose is your color scheme. The advice you will most likely hear is to not break the rule of using only three colors. Trade show exhibit companies know that your focus is on getting a certain message across, and they will tell you that using more than three colors can keep you from reaching that goal. If you use lots of different colors chances are that the trade show or conference attendees will find your booth too “busy” and completely miss your message.

3. Find A Friendly Font – Another handy piece of advice that exhibit fabrication companies often give is how to pick the size and style of font for your booth. At most trade shows you will see a lot of the easy to read Sans-serif fonts like Helvetica which are always classic choices. However, if your brand’s specific style doesn’t jive with a font like that you can choose something else. When it comes to custom exhibit booths the designers recommend using no more than 2-3 different fonts at the same time.

If you are looking at the calendar for this upcoming year and deciding which trade shows to go to now would be a great time to contact an exhibit fabrication team and get some advice. Don’t just use the same booth you’ve always used year after year – let this be the year that you think outside of the box and try something new. Make the competition nervous at the next trade show you attend by showing off a custom booth built just for your brand. You’ll be glad you did!
