In addition to growth in the physical amount of goods that are transported over the course of a single year, the actual value of these goods will also grow quite impressively, to say the very least. In fact, by the time that we reach that very same year of 2040, a mere ton of cargo will be worth more than $1,300. This is up from just over $880 per ton back in, again, that same year of 2013. And while $880 per ton is still certainly impressive, there is no denying the fact that this is tremendous growth indeed, to say the very least. Of course, this trend is only likely to continue onward even after that year of 2040, with impressive growth continuing to be seen throughout an industry that will grow only more and more important with the progression of time as well.
But why, exactly, have these truckload freight services grown so impressively in recent years? For one thing, there are a wider variety of truckload freight services than ever before.
