One thing you might be forgetting to do when you close your business is liquidate everything in the store. Of course all of the product and merchandise must go, but it’s also important to remember that all of the fixtures need to go as well. Put price tags on them and make sure that customers know that they are available for sale. Check with other local businesses to see if they can buy and make use of your office furniture or shelving units.
2. Advertise
Another thing you might be forgetting to do it advertise the closing as much as possible. This means getting a number of going out of business signs, taking out ads in local white papers, and any other avenue you can think of.
